Mission Bay Families ***PLAYGROUND PROJECT***
Who: Families and other residents of Mission Bay interested in the development of a neighborhood playground.
When: Next meeting is on Wednesday, November 4, at 6:00 pm
Where: Mission Creek Park Pavilion Building, 301 Channel Rd.
Description: The Mission Bay Families Group discusses designs for the proposed tot lot (playground) to be built next to the pavilion building at Mission Creek Park and would like as much community input as possible. Kids are also invited to the meeting, as their input is invaluable.

Who: Residents of Mission Bay.
When: 2nd Thursday of each month, 5:30 – 6:30 or 7:30
Where: Mission Bay Visitors Center (Mission Creek Park, the big flat building with the big tall sign that says "visitors center,” past the guard's pavilion). Meetings are sometimes held at 1700 Owens, near the Gladstone building.
Description: Mostly discusses real planning issues of Mission Bay, including streets, schools, tot lot, new residential buildings, new UCSF buildings, pollution, Berry st opening to 7th st, some parks issues. The goals are for the community to make sure the region develops properly, that the needs of the residents are met, and to have a say in how extensive the development is.

Who: Residents and business owners in Mission Bay, South Beach, SOMA
When: Monthly or bimonthly, usually on a Wednesday, 12:00-1:30pm. Lunch is usually provided.
Where: Mission Creek Park Pavilion Building, 301 Channel Rd.
Description: Discusses current and upcoming Mission Creek Park and AT&T Park events/plans. Also provides a heads-up on event impact, such as loud noises, heavy traffic, etc.

Who: Residents of South Beach, Rincon, and Mission Bay
When: 2nd Monday of each month (meeting for September is cancelled), 6:00-7:00, sometimes runs over a bit
Where: South Beach Marina Harbor Services Building Community Room, next to AT&T Park across the lawn from the Java House
Description: Mostly deals with civic issues such as proposed changes to bike lanes and traffic, waterfront and pier planning, NERT, neighborhood beautification and trash abatement, etc. Frequently has special guest to give an informative presentation about things like real estate and office buildings or about development of neighborhood character.
